History (Old updates)
This page serves as an archive of older updates from the Update section on the project's main page. I don't want some of my thoughts, plans, or commitments to get lost over time simply because they are eventually buried beneath newer posts. That's why you'll find here not only older updates, but also my long-term goals, commitments, and topics I want to return to in the future. Everything in one place.
I spent a long time considering whether to publish this page at all. In the end, I decided to do it. I see it as a space where I can share more than just investments, stocks, and financial topics. In a way, it is a public journal of my journey – something that both I and my readers can come back to at any time.

4.10.2026 A new article, this time with a slightly more inspirational focus, is now available 👉Ronald Read: How an Ordinary Man Built a Million-Dollar Portfolio. It is an extraordinary story of an ordinary man that I believe is well worth your attention and has personally taught me a lot.
The article ended up being a little longer than I originally intended, but in this case, I don't think that's a bad thing. Quite the opposite – Ronald Read's story contains so much interesting inspiration that it would be a shame to just scratch the surface.
My next work on the project will focus more on the technical side. I would like to improve the blog and, above all, make it easier to navigate. There is already quite a lot of content and quite a few articles here, and I am starting to notice that some older articles are gradually being forgotten because readers have no easy way to discover them through related topics. That is something I would like to work on.
And what comes next? One of the next topics I am considering is a standalone article about compound interest. I also already have an article about black swans in the works, which I think could become very relevant quite soon. And gradually, I would also like to focus more on ETFs – for example, Vanguard LifeStrategy ETFs seem like a very interesting option for making investing even simpler.
Unfortunately, there is still plenty of work to do on the blog, but there is only so much time available. I am therefore also starting to think about how to make some activities more efficient, automate them, or perhaps get some help with them. Nothing is urgent for now – I am simply looking for a way to keep moving the project forward in the long term without it taking up more and more of my time.

28.9.2026 After a longer break, here comes a short update – this time without a new article. I have been working on the website over the past few weeks, but most of the work has been more "behind the scenes".
I'm experimenting with an English version of the website. The first articles are already available through the flag icon in the top-right corner. For now, it's just a small experiment, and I plan to translate a few more selected articles.I'm also gradually updating older articles. Most of the changes are just minor corrections and updates. I don't want to simply keep publishing new articles while letting the older ones gradually become outdated. Instead, I'd rather come back to them from time to time and keep them up to date.Another experiment is adding discussions below the articles. I'm currently testing them on a few articles as part of a free trial. If they prove useful, I'll switch to the paid version. Feel free to try them out, for example, under the article 👉 What Drives Stock Returns? CAPM, Fama–French and Factor Investing (Czech only). I'm curious to see whether the discussions will actually take off.
Meanwhile, I'm writing a new article about Ronald Read – a man who never earned a huge salary, yet managed to accumulate a considerable fortune. He is an inspiration to me and a great example of how you don't need a million-dollar income to achieve financial independence. What matters is time, discipline, and long-term investing.
I haven't had as much time to finish the article this time. My wife is abroad, so I'm managing the household with the kids on my own, and we also used the long weekend to take a few trips. She's coming back on Thursday, though, so I'm hoping I'll finally be able to finish the article over the weekend.
